Communities: Balanyá, San Mateo Milpas Altas

Balanyá – In 2022 B3 teams once again worked with Balanyá English Academy (BEA) to add to the school by starting construction on a cafeteria and a playground. In addition to construction, B3 worked with students at the school helping to teach them English. BEA’s mission is to assist the education of young Guatemalans through professional English instruction, which will allow for a better future for these students.

San Mateo Milpas Altas – B3 worked with the community, the school, and ConstruCasa to build a classroom in San Mateo Milpas Altas. The school in San Mateo is over 15 years old and is over capacity, with over 125 students ranging in age from 2 1/2 years old to 23 including several older students with disabilities. 

B3, in conjunction with the school and ConstruCasa helped build a home for a school family in need in the community of San Mateo.
