Communities: Antigua Xepocol, Balanya, Parramos

Antigua Xepocol –  B3 teams worked with the Peace Corps to build the first 2 classrooms and bathrooms of a school for the community. Before, students walked at least an hour to the closest school.

Balanya –  B3 partnered with the Grace English School to begin construction of a new school. The school’s mission is to contribute to the education of young Guatemalans through professional English instruction utilizing modern technology while also providing health programs and vocational training to the community. In addition to construction, B3 worked with students at the school helping to teach English. B3 also partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build “healthy” stoves in neighboring communities.

Parramos –  B3 worked in the farming community and partnered with ConstruCasa to construct 15 homes for families that were severely impacted and lost their home and crops due to the eruption of Volcano Fuego in 2018. In addition to construction, B3 purchased and planted trees in the new community.
