Communities: Santa Maria, San Lucas Toliman, La Canoa, Chutinamit, & Ciudad Vieja

 

Santa Maria – B3 worked with De Casas a Hogares (From Houses to Homes, a US-based non-profit) to build 14 homes made of cement, concrete, and corrugated metal.

 

San Lucas Toliman –  B3 worked with international Rotary Clubs to build 60 smokeless stoves and 50 composting style latrines, plant trees, provide water filters, and construct hand-washing stations for each family in the community.

 

La Canoa – B3 partnered with the Peace Corps to build classrooms and latrines for the Escuala Official Rural Mixta (EORM).

 

Chutinamit – B3 worked with the Peace Corps and Construa Casa to construct a community center, hand washing stations, a small office, and additional rooms for 22 homes.

 

Ciudad Vieja – B3 collaborated with Niños de Guatemala (NDG, a local service organization) to build 2 classrooms for middle school education.
