Builders Beyond Borders is proud to offer a program for seventh grade, eighth-grade and high school students who are interested in volunteering to “build a better world” through local service opportunities.
Our program B3LOCAL is part of B3 (Builders Beyond Borders) and is designed for 7th/8th grade and older students interested in volunteering locally – it is a great way to learn about needs in our local communities.
This uniquely designed program allows younger students to experience first-hand the value of volunteerism while participating in team building and leadership exercises. Included are opportunities for our B3LOCAL students to support B3’s global efforts and to participate in some of the B3 signature events like our year end Despedida and Brains Beyond Borders (trivia night team building event). All are fun and focus on team building and leadership.
B3 is committed to delivering local community service and our B3LOCAL team(s) play a big role towards that commitment; working alongside our B3 teams. B3LOCAL students are eligible to work towards the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award program; recipients are honored each year at the Despedida celebration.
There is a $150 fee for each student that covers materials, t-shirts, food, supplies required for some Community Service projects and more.
It is a great way to get involved with B3.
B3LOCAL is still a relatively new program for us – we are counting on our B3 LOCAL volunteers to help us shape and develop this program moving forward. Being part of a new team doing great things to “build a better world” is guaranteed to be exciting, rewarding, eye-opening and most of all – FUN.
We hope you plan to join us
