Communities: Maicito, Tingo Pucarà

Maicito – B3 build 2 additional classrooms at Escuela de Rumanahui. Due to overcrowding, several hundred students were transferred to another school relatively far from Maicito. Resulting in some students not attending school at all. The additional classrooms will allow over 100 students to return to their local school. The new classrooms will also be used for community activities.

Tingo Pucarà – B3 worked with the community to build 4 tanks to hold and farm trout in order to provide a source of protein to enhance the nutrition of the community.  Tingo Pucarà is located in one of the poorest parishes in Ecuador. Because of its small size and considerable distance from the capital, it is often overlooked by the government.
